New Projects

In the past several weeks, many new projects have commenced, and existing projects have expanded to include exciting additional dimensions.

A brief summary:

Work is continuing on the BAY STREET OFFICE, now expanded from the CEO's office to encompass renovations to three entire floors, each with stunning views over Toronto. Design consultation for the CEO's residence in Bermuda is ongoing.

Two new RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS have begun, in Trinity-Bellwoods and the Annex, including one in collaboration with architect Wanda Ely.

An art installation for The LEONA DRIVE PROJECT will commence soon - Jenny Francis Design will act as project manager for an artist participant.

The CABBAGETOWN HOUSE project is under construction - underpinning is underway.

The DUFFERIN GROVE CONDO building renovation is in progress with exterior and interior refinishing of the shared spaces. This morning we selected the perfect industrial palate of deep rust red and charcoal greys and creamy white.

The design for the GARDEN in Cambridge Ontario is continuing, after a recent site visit.

OFFICES for the KDC INNOVATION GROUP are nearly complete - a project designed by Mazen Studio, with architectural services by Jenny Francis Design.

Meanwhile, another sourcing trip to NYC is on the horizon, as well as a visit to a forest cottage in the Latvian enclave near Alliston (for a moment of relaxation).

Pine Mountain, Georgia.

.

Interface, a modular carpet company, hosted 5 designers including myself at the gorgeous Catawba house in Pine Mountain Georgia for three days. They gave us a tour through their factory, recycling plant, research lab, design studio and flagship showroom nearby in Atlanta. It was refreshing and inspiring to be immersed in the culture of a company with clarity of vision and solid values - these could be seen in every facet of the experience. Tyrone's warm angel biscuits and smoked ribs were inspiring also.
