A new project is starting up for the design of a house at the mouth of the Port Credit River - a lovely sheltered site that steps down to the water's edge.  It is hard to believe that this property is just moments away from the QEW, as well as beautiful parks and leisure clubs - a rather perfect combination of town and country.

It has been an incredibly busy season, with the initiation of new projects and construction underway on others.  Renovation is being planned for two additional floors at Munich Re on Bay St (24,000 sf of new office and swing space), work is about to begin at the Covenant House, and the designs for the Heart Lake Cabana and the Meadow House are progressing very nicely.  New phases of design are starting up at the Rosedale House in order to renovate the ground and second floors including a new kitchen and additions.  As well, there are exciting graphic design projects happening through Backyard Design.

Miami 1

Done!  I have just arranged a trip to Miami from November 30-December 2nd for a brief but intense immersion in art, design, and a long overdue exploration of the wonderful art deco hotels that line South Beach.  I'll be there to dive into Art Basel, Art Miami and Design Miami - three amazing events that should not be missed.  I'm also looking forward to staying at the Viceroy Hotel, a luxurious hotel designed by Kelly Wearstler.  Unfortunately my schedule won't allow me to attend the opening party for Lausberg Contemporary's new Miami location, but I will certainly be visiting their new space and I wish them many congratulations on the fantastic new location!
