A modest renovation: the walls and existing cabinets were painted a creamy white, a new counter and white subway tile replaced the existing pink marble, and new lighting was installed. A simple banquette, table and shelves in walnut were added opposite to provide a place to eat that could also serve as a kitchen island. Elsewhere in the house, a renovated master bathroom, master bedroom, entry millwork and office were designed, with fresh finishes throughout.
