Little Italy House 1
This charming house in Little Italy is going to be renovated during the spring and early summer, with reconfigured living spaces, a new kitchen and possibly a second story addition. The house already has qualities akin to a small farmhouse, with its soft interior light, entry courtyard covered in vines, and a backyard which is often used as an extension of the house for cooking and entertaining in.

The rear and side additions are well underway, with openings ready to receive the windows and doors. New cedar cladding, decking and guards are to be installed for the first and second floor walkouts, in horizontal bands that will silver over time. The heated polished concrete floor in the basement is looking great - the basement apartment also benefits from large windows and a private walkout that feels like a small courtyard.

Step 2: The fence is now complete surrounding the garden, and will silver over the course of the winter. The next phases will occur in the spring: the planting of a birch grove and fruit trees, wild grasses, planters for the kitchen garden, and a deck with a covered dining pavilion.
Thank you Dan from AMS Renovations for building the fence.
