OCHRE, NYC, xo

The new W Hotel in Hoboken NJ is nearly complete (featuring wallpaper custom designed for each room in the hotel by Backyard Design), with absolutely stunning views toward Manhattan. Soho appears to be a stone's throw away across the Hudson (currently gleaming as the sun is setting).

Marianne Lovink (www.mariannelovink.com) is installing her Winter Garden sculptures in the three penthouse suites (after which, a well deserved dinner and cocktails will be in order).

This trip to NYC + NJ has of course required a visit to the wonderfully curated store OCHRE, at 462 Broome St. in Soho, where finds include beautiful little handmade spoons and forks with black bakelite handles and handmade Moroccan glasses in delicate tones of ultra light green and cerulean. Naturally, we bought several of each.
