North Clinton House 3_In Progress

DURING CONSTRUCTION

FURNISHING IN PROGRESS

The full renovation of the North Clinton house in Seaton Village is in its final stages.  The new kitchen and the bathrooms are nearly complete with gorgeous surfaces of limestone, statuario marble, white glass and white oak.  The selection of new furnishings throughout is in progress.  We wanted to create a sense of serene simplicity and spaciousness, with a few planes of vivid colour in the bedrooms and beautiful lighting fixtures positioned to accentuate the architectural shapes.

Selecting Statuario marble from large slabs is quite romantic when one considers that it was cut from the same mountain as Michelangelo's David.  This whole slab will be used at the North Clinton House - we love the pure white and the sweeping veining.

Design work is continuing for the North Clinton House, in collaboration with Andrew Thorpe.  The full gut and renovation with rear addition and basement walk-out requires all new finishes, fixtures, and complete furnishings throughout.  Recent finds include the Eames DCM chairs, a solid walnut dining table, the Canyon and Neo sofas by Bensen, solid stainless lever handles from Summerhill Hardware and the Titan 1 pendant.  Finishes include quarter sawn UV oiled white oak floors, a refined honed limestone, and white statuary marble with delicate grey veining to be paired with stainless steel.
